The bulk of the information contained in this booklet has been taken from Holy Innocents Lamarsh-Church and Rector by the late Montgomery Burnett. This scholarly treatise includes much further information on the history of the church and its rectors which is available on our website, www.lamarshchurch.org.uk . Mr Burnett, in turn, relied on the Essex Record Office, which retains most of the ancient documents on which this history is based.
The majority of the photographs of the church, its contents and grounds were taken by photographer Barry Meekums FRSA who resides in Lamarsh and the text written by Robert F Erith, TD DL, who has been a churchwarden since 1969.
