ANNUAL REPORT TO THE FRIENDS OF
HOLY INNOCENTS CHURCH, LAMARSH
FOR THE YEAR 2001
Registered charity No 1088711
The proposal to form the Friends and to apply for Charitable status was approved by the PCC at it's meeting on 28th February 2001.
The Application papers were submitted to the Charity Commission on 21st March 2001. There then followed correspondence and discussions with the Commission who insisted that we had an annual income of £1000 in order to be registered. Due to the generosity of a small number of people we were able to demonstrate to the Commission in a letter dated 11th September 2001 that we had met this and other requirements and approval was granted on 3rd October 2001.
As shown in the Annual Accounts, our income to 31.12.01 was £2062.00 on which we will be able to recover tax amounting to £241.36. At the date of this report we have Bankers Orders from fourteen people which in 2002 will produce an income of £2771.00 on which we will be able to recover tax of £775.88. We have purposely left the main canvassing for Bankers Orders until the Spring of this year.
In accordance with the Constitution two members of the Management of the Friends shall retire at each AGM. Accordingly Robert Erith and Gay Foord are offering to retire but have put their names forward for re-election at the AGM.
I would like the thank The Friends of St James' Church, Nayland for their help and for allowing us to use their Constitution as the basis for our own.
